It always seems to be summer in Sim Land.

Carl is My Simmies' Best Friend

The best guide of all things Sims 3 that I have seen is Carls Sims 3 Guide. They have info on how to accomplish LTWs and on every new thing that gets added.

Bath Time

I think it's funny that when a simmie gets burned, their scorch marks cover enough of their naughty bits, that they don't have to get blurred out. It almost looks like they have a swimsuit on under the blackness.
Anyway, loving the new faster playing on the new login. And I figured out I can blog from this login too, so more pix!
I did change Rod and Cherry's lifetime wishes. Rod wasn't getting many emergencies at the fire station that let him save people. He was up to level 7 employment, and hadn't missed but maybe 2 days, and only one emergency he had been given had any people to be rescued. And I was getting tired of following him to work, so I switched him to law enforcement, and his LTW to raise 5 kids. Cherry just wanted to go work in the pirate ship restaurant on the beach, having natural cooking, so she works there with LTW of professional chef, and even bought the restaurant. Now it's called Captain Stoney's Deep Dish Diner. ;p

Budget Building Tutorial

I don't have time to look at this now, but I want to check it out later.

Budget Building Tutorial

New Beginning

So here's Rod Stone getting a firefighter award, he got 27 out of 30 people rescued before I had to end the game.
I had been wanting to do a complete uninstall/reinstall, to get some bugs worked out, and The BFF wanted to put more memory on the computer, so we did it all at the same time.
I knew I would lose everything simmy, and I was ok with that. I uploaded a bunch of families, a few hair colors, and some other things I really liked and didn't want to lose.
We (ok, HE) did all the uninstalling, adding memory, reinstalling, and we put my sims game on a different log in, to be faster for all involved. And boy, is it ever! It loads like a dream, and I've even been having fun playing with the pattern creator, it all seemed so slow before, I didn't even want to mess with patterns.
I found a few things I had bought in the sims store that hadn't ever downloaded into the game properly (I knew there was one or two, but there were more than I thought), and I re-downloaded all the stuff I had, and my own families and hair colors and such. Plus, as my little reward for having to lose some stuff, I bought Buccaneer Bay. Yay!
And I started Rod Stone and family out all over again, he's a firefighter in pirate town.
So I just realized that I can't blog from THIS log-in, and get screen shots from the OTHER log-in, duh, I should have thought of that. So I'm not sure if/how I will be continuing this. Maybe I'll just use the sims site.

Weird Travel Glitch

I tried the other night to travel with a few of the family, and when I got to Egypt, this is what I saw.
With no simmies listed, nothing in the wish or attribute boxes. Just nothing.
Good reminder to save before and after events!!
So I tried it again, same thing. And again, same thing.
I was afraid I'd have to dump this family or stop traveling with them at least (and I am working on a Relic Hunter LTW!)
I checked on my non-traveling simmies, just looking around to see if I can figure out what's going on, and then I found this:
One of my teens was stuck on a part of the architecture that is on the outside of the house on the third floor. I have no idea how she got out there. I assuming that she being stuck is the reason my traveling wasn't going right.
Luckily, I used the 'moveobjects on' cheat, and put her back in the house, and she was fine. (that cheat has not always helped my stuck simmies)
How in the world did she just happen to get out there I wonder?!?

Baby Glitch

I didn't see how it happened, but all-of-a-sudden I had a double headed baby. The toddler was sleeping, so they were stuck like that for a little while. Even though the baby was needing attention, no one could pick up the baby.
When the toddler woke up, and stood up in the crib, that broke the spell, and someone was able to take out the toddler, then they could pick up the baby.

Somehow the toddler and baby ended up in the same crib
The babysitter doesn't seem to know what to do

Jackalope Location

Here is the swampy area of Twinbrook.
Zoomed in to just below the bridge.

More Jackalope Pix

Here's my simmie standing with the cutout, to show how big it is.

This is how I originally saw the cutout, I was looking around the swampy area by the house, looking for fishing spots, seeds, and rocks, when I spotted it. I definitely had to do a double take, I thought it was just a shadow at first.

Double Birthday Cake Fire

This was actually the second fire like this. (I had two sets of twins with birthdays in a row)
In the first fire like this, a neighbor kid was standing between the table and the wall, and he died in that fire.
No casualties this time.

Jackalope

Have you seen the Jackalope in the swamps of Sims 3?
I so freaked out when I found it.
