New Beginning
So here's Rod Stone getting a firefighter award, he got 27 out of 30 people rescued before I had to end the game.
I had been wanting to do a complete uninstall/reinstall, to get some bugs worked out, and The BFF wanted to put more memory on the computer, so we did it all at the same time.
I knew I would lose everything simmy, and I was ok with that. I uploaded a bunch of families, a few hair colors, and some other things I really liked and didn't want to lose.
We (ok, HE) did all the uninstalling, adding memory, reinstalling, and we put my sims game on a different log in, to be faster for all involved. And boy, is it ever! It loads like a dream, and I've even been having fun playing with the pattern creator, it all seemed so slow before, I didn't even want to mess with patterns.
I found a few things I had bought in the sims store that hadn't ever downloaded into the game properly (I knew there was one or two, but there were more than I thought), and I re-downloaded all the stuff I had, and my own families and hair colors and such. Plus, as my little reward for having to lose some stuff, I bought Buccaneer Bay. Yay!
And I started Rod Stone and family out all over again, he's a firefighter in pirate town.
So I just realized that I can't blog from THIS log-in, and get screen shots from the OTHER log-in, duh, I should have thought of that. So I'm not sure if/how I will be continuing this. Maybe I'll just use the sims site.
tootles.

Weird Travel Glitch
I tried the other night to travel with a few of the family, and when I got to Egypt, this is what I saw.
With no simmies listed, nothing in the wish or attribute boxes. Just nothing.
Good reminder to save before and after events!!
So I tried it again, same thing. And again, same thing.
I was afraid I'd have to dump this family or stop traveling with them at least (and I am working on a Relic Hunter LTW!)
I checked on my non-traveling simmies, just looking around to see if I can figure out what's going on, and then I found this:
One of my teens was stuck on a part of the architecture that is on the outside of the house on the third floor. I have no idea how she got out there. I assuming that she being stuck is the reason my traveling wasn't going right.
Luckily, I used the 'moveobjects on' cheat, and put her back in the house, and she was fine. (that cheat has not always helped my stuck simmies)
How in the world did she just happen to get out there I wonder?!?
